Product overview

What it does, and where it fits.

A hose nipple ends a lined line in a barbed tail so a flexible hose can be clamped on for drumming off, tanker loading or temporary transfer. The lined version keeps the fluoropolymer bore right through to the hose connection, so the last few centimetres of the line are not the point that corrodes.

Nine flange-to-hose combinations are listed: NB 1", 1.5", 2" and 3" flanges against 1", 1.5" and 2" hose diameters. All are 70 mm long, with the hose tail diameter H varying from 27 mm to 52 mm. PTFE, PFA and FEP are all marked applicable across every combination.

Features

Built into every unit.

  • Lined bore continuous through to the hose tail
  • Nine flange and hose combinations, NB 1" to 3" flange, 1" to 2" hose
  • 70 mm nozzle length across the range
  • Nozzle ASTM A 106 Gr. B, flange IS 2062 plate or ASTM A 105
  • PTFE, PFA and FEP available on every combination

Benefits

Why it earns its place in the line.

  • Outstanding corrosion resistance to aggressive organic and inorganic chemicals across a wide temperature range
  • Non-stick, non-wetting bore — low surface energy keeps product moving and simplifies cleaning
  • Chemically inert and pure; no additives, plasticisers, stabilisers or lubricants to contaminate the process fluid
  • The lowest coefficient of friction of any solid, reducing pressure drop and deposit build-up
  • Completely resistant to hydrolysis with an excellent barrier to water permeation
  • Steel strength on the outside, fluoropolymer chemistry on the inside — at a fraction of the cost of solid exotic alloys

FAQ

Questions we are asked about this item.

Yes — a special nozzle length is available on request. The standard is 70 mm for every combination.

Match the hose bore to the H dimension: 27 mm for a 1" hose, 41 mm for 1.5" and 52 mm for 2". For a fully lined flexible connection consider the PTFE lined hose pipe instead.
