Product overview
What it does, and where it fits.
A lined spacer takes up the small residual gap left when a valve, filter or instrument is removed from a flanged run, or trims a line to its as-built dimension. It is short — 30 mm to 90 mm — and lined so the make-up piece does not become the corrosion point of the line.
The body is IS 2062 plate or ASTM A 105, drilled to ASME/ANSI B16.5 Class 150, with PTFE, PFA or FEP marked applicable across the entire NB 1/2" to 16" range. Spacers are not drilled with vent holes.
Features
Built into every unit.
- Face to face 30 mm to 90 mm — the shortest lined make-up piece in the range
- PTFE, PFA or FEP across the full NB 1/2" to 16" range
- IS 2062 plate or ASTM A 105 body to B16.5 Class 150
- No vent hole required or fitted
- Stainless steel body and higher diameters on request
Benefits
Why it earns its place in the line.
- Outstanding corrosion resistance to aggressive organic and inorganic chemicals across a wide temperature range
- Non-stick, non-wetting bore — low surface energy keeps product moving and simplifies cleaning
- Chemically inert and pure; no additives, plasticisers, stabilisers or lubricants to contaminate the process fluid
- The lowest coefficient of friction of any solid, reducing pressure drop and deposit build-up
- Completely resistant to hydrolysis with an excellent barrier to water permeation
- Steel strength on the outside, fluoropolymer chemistry on the inside — at a fraction of the cost of solid exotic alloys

FAQ
Questions we are asked about this item.
Spacer 30–90 mm, distance piece 60–200 mm, spool 100–3000 mm. Pick the one whose range covers the gap you have to fill.
Yes — see the PTFE solid and tapered spacer, which is machined from solid PTFE rather than lined onto steel and covers 3 mm to 300 mm.
