Product overview

What it does, and where it fits.

A header is a lined run carrying several branches, made as one fabricated assembly instead of a chain of separate tees and spools. That removes flange joints, shortens the installed length and cuts the number of potential leak paths in a distribution manifold.

Because every header is different, the catalogue gives no standard dimension table for this item — the layout, branch count, branch sizes and spacings are made to the customer's requirement. Send an isometric, a dimensioned sketch or your branch schedule and we will return a fabrication drawing for approval.

Combined fittings and special fabricated designs can be built into the same assembly, so a header can carry reducers, laterals and instrument branches in one lined item.

Features

Built into every unit.

  • Multi-branch lined manifold fabricated as a single assembly
  • Fewer flange joints and less installed length than separate fittings
  • NB 1/2" to 16", all flanges fixed as standard
  • Pipe ASTM A 106 Gr. B, flanges IS 2062 plate or ASTM A 105
  • Options in combined fittings and special fabricated designs

Benefits

Why it earns its place in the line.

  • One lined assembly instead of a chain of tees, spools and joints
  • Fewer flange faces means fewer potential leak paths
  • Outstanding corrosion resistance to aggressive organic and inorganic chemicals across a wide temperature range
  • Non-stick, non-wetting bore — low surface energy keeps product moving and simplifies cleaning
  • Chemically inert and pure; no additives, plasticisers, stabilisers or lubricants to contaminate the process fluid
  • The lowest coefficient of friction of any solid, reducing pressure drop and deposit build-up

Applications & industries

  • Distribution manifolds feeding several lined branches
  • Collection headers on reactor and filter batteries
  • Multi-point dosing and sampling manifolds
  • Retrofit of congested pipework into a single fabricated item

FAQ

Questions we are asked about this item.

An isometric or dimensioned sketch showing the run size, branch sizes, branch positions and orientations, the flange standard and the lining material. Our engineering team can also help construct the isometric and produce the list of fittings and components.

No. The catalogue publishes no dimension table for this item because every header is built to the customer's layout.
