Product overview

What it does, and where it fits.

The angle support carries a member off a structure or an assembly at an angle that is not square. A bored eye sits on a bolted knuckle above a socketed body; slackening the hex bolt lets the eye swing to the angle wanted, and tightening it locks the joint. The socket beneath is fixed to its member with a grub screw, so the whole fitting is slidable and can be repositioned later without cutting or welding.

The supplied product sheet describes it as manufactured from high quality metal for secure support and alignment in laboratory and industrial assemblies, with corrosion resistance and long service life. The blue coating on the sheet's two views is the finish it is supplied in.

No dimensional datasheet was supplied for this item, so its bore sizes, angle range and catalogue reference are confirmed on enquiry rather than estimated from the neighbouring pages.

Features

Built into every unit.

  • Bolted knuckle joint — the bore swivels to the angle required
  • Locked at angle by tightening the knuckle bolt
  • Grub screw fixing in the socket, so the fitting stays slidable
  • Cast metal construction with a protective coating
  • Fixed and repositioned without cutting or welding

Benefits

Why it earns its place in the line.

  • Carries a member at any angle a square fitting cannot reach
  • One component replaces a fabricated bracket
  • Coated finish suits the corrosive atmosphere around a chemical plant
  • Can be slackened and re-set if the assembly is reconfigured

Applications & industries

FAQ

Questions we are asked about this item.

The supplied product sheet publishes no angle range, so we do not quote one here. Tell us the angle and the member size you need to carry and we will confirm it against the drawing.

Two fixings. The socket clamps onto its member with a grub screw, so the fitting slides to position. The bored eye is set by the hex bolt through the knuckle, which locks the angle once tightened.

No dimensional datasheet was supplied for this item, so we have not published a bore table. Send us your tube or member size and we will confirm availability.

Yes. Slacken the knuckle bolt to change the angle, or the grub screw to slide it along the member. Nothing is cut or welded, so an assembly can be reconfigured later.
