Product overview
What it does, and where it fits.
A PTFE T-bush is a top-hat sleeve that sits between the glass tube and the flange, isolating the metal from the fluid at the one place a plain tubular unit is vulnerable. The result is that all wetted parts are PTFE and glass only, achieved without lining the whole flange.
That makes this a cost-effective design for corrosive fluids: it gives the chemical resistance of a lined unit at a lower price, and because the bush is a discrete component, repair and maintenance can be carried out on site.
Flanges are cast stainless in CF8, CF8M or CF3M. Face-to-face is 185 mm across most of the range, rising to 215 mm at 400NB, and custom lengths up to 1500 mm are available.
Features
Built into every unit.
- PTFE T-bushes isolate the flanges — all wetted parts are PTFE and glass only
- Cost effective design for corrosive fluids
- Repair and maintenance can be easily carried out on site
- Cast stainless flanges — CF8, CF8M or CF3M
- Custom face to face lengths up to 1500 mm available
Benefits
Why it earns its place in the line.
- Full fluoropolymer wetted path without the cost of a lined flange
- T-bush is a replaceable component — site repairable
- 360° visibility over the whole length — sees what a two-window unit misses
- Glass tube and gaskets replaceable on site without cutting the pipework
- Short face to face across the size range makes retrofit straightforward

FAQ
Questions we are asked about this item.
Both give a PTFE and glass wetted path. The T-bush version is cheaper and site-repairable; the fully lined version protects the whole flange body and is the better choice for the most aggressive duties or where permeation is a concern.
Yes — the catalogue notes that repair and maintenance can be easily carried out at site, which is one of the main reasons to choose this design.
