Product overview
What it does, and where it fits.
An instrument tee provides a small, rigid, lined branch for a pressure transmitter, thermowell, pH probe or sampling point. Unlike a fabricated tee its body is machined from carbon steel round bar, which gives the short branch the stiffness to carry an instrument without distorting the liner.
Branch sizes run from NB 1/2" to 2" on run sizes from NB 1" to 14". The catalogue marks PFA and FEP as applicable across the whole range and gives the liner specification as ASTM D 3307 and ASTM D 4894-19.

Benefits
Why it earns its place in the line.
- Rigid lined mounting point for instruments — no branch distortion
- Keeps the instrument tapping fully fluoropolymer lined
- Outstanding corrosion resistance to aggressive organic and inorganic chemicals across a wide temperature range
- Non-stick, non-wetting bore — low surface energy keeps product moving and simplifies cleaning
- Chemically inert and pure; no additives, plasticisers, stabilisers or lubricants to contaminate the process fluid
- The lowest coefficient of friction of any solid, reducing pressure drop and deposit build-up

FAQ
Questions we are asked about this item.
A short instrument branch has to carry the weight and bending load of a transmitter or thermowell. A bar-stock body gives that stiffness without letting the branch flex and stress the liner.
Yes — that is one of the standard uses. Tell us the instrument connection required and we will confirm the branch detail.
