Product overview
What it does, and where it fits.
A closure caps the end of a glass line with a domed glass end rather than a flat plate. The dome keeps the bore fully visible right to the end of the run and avoids the sharp internal corner a flat blank creates, which matters where product could otherwise settle.
Nine bores are listed from DN 15 to DN 300, with L from 40 mm to 150 mm.
Features
Built into every unit.
- Domed glass end — no sharp internal corner for product to settle in
- DN 15 to DN 300
- L 40 mm to 150 mm
- Keeps the end of the run fully visible
Benefits
Why it earns its place in the line.
- Completely inert to almost all process media — no metal pick-up and no contamination of the batch
- Full visibility of the process along the whole line
- Smooth, non-wetting bore that resists fouling and cleans easily
- Excellent thermal shock resistance from borosilicate 3.3
- Modular flanged construction — sections can be swapped without cutting or welding
Applications & industries
Where it is specified.
Typical applications
- Terminating a glass pipeline run
- Capping a spare branch on a manifold
- Future tie-in points left closed during construction
- Distillation, absorption and scrubbing pipework
Industries served
- Chemical processing
- Pharmaceutical
- Fine chemicals & dyes
- Food & beverage
- Water & effluent treatment
- Distillation & solvent recovery
- Research & pilot plant

FAQ
Questions we are asked about this item.
A closure is a domed glass end that adds 40–150 mm to the run and keeps the bore visible. A blind is a flat plate only 8–9 mm thick that seals against a flange face. Use a blind where length is tight.
Yes — it bolts up like any other component, so a run can be extended by unbolting it.
